Grebbestad is one of the most popular towns for tourists in Sweden and is located on the Swedish West Coast, between Gothenburg and Oslo in Norway. There are about 1 600 people living in Grebbestad year round. In the summertime Grebbestad enjoys a “tourist invasion” and the town doubles its population many times. People come here to enjoy our nature, salty baths, shopping, cultural history, and to have seafood!

As if this wasn’t enough, we also have a fantastic archipelago for sea kayaking! Both beginners and experienced paddlers will find wonderful paddling waters here. If the weather turns windy, hundreds of islands in the archipelago still give you opportunities to paddle in protected areas. Also in the middle of high season you will be able to find your “private camp site”. The Swedish Right of Public Access gives us all the opportunity to camp on most of the island as long as we show respect and responsibility to nature, wild life and other people. Please, try not to leave any trace when you enjoy the beautiful archipelago.

At KajakCenter in Grebbestad we have 15 years experience of renting and selling kayaks, courses and trips. Most of our kayaks have rudders, but we also have kayaks with skegs. All our staff is experienced and willing to help you to find what equipment you need for a joyful trip.
